How man of the requirements for a Pshycology degree can be completed at Florence Darlington Tech?

I am looking at entering college for the first time and am interested in understanding how many of the course requirements for a Pshycology degree can be completed at Florence Darlington Tech? Is there any advantage/ disadvantage to using FDTC compared to FMU?

Re: How man of the requirements for a Pshycology degree can be completed at Florence Darlington Tech?

DanM,

It’s great that you are preparing to enter a post-secondary institution, congratulations. Attending FDTC for a few semesters before starting an educational career at FMU is a very popular option. My best suggestion would be to visit each school, speak with a counselor and go from there. FMU has an articulation agreement with FDTC (and all TECH schools in the state of South Carolina) called the Transfer Guide. It states specifically which classes will transfer from FDTC to FMU and how they will transfer. Below you'll find a link to our .PDF version of it. If you would like a physical copy then please call the office and ask for one.  Typically no more than 60 hours can be transferred from FDTC to FMU.  I believe there are many advantages of completing the entire degree at our school.  Most students seeking a B.S. or a B.A. prefer us because of the nature of our liberal arts background compared to their technical background.  For more information please call (843) 661-1231. Thanks.
