Grad HS in Dec.

I am making plans to graduate one semester early (Dec. 2008, rather than June 2009).  Will I be able to attend classes in spring2009?  Completing final course requirements for HS  (ENG IV, and CHEM I).

Re: Grad HS in Dec.

mpenegar,

There are certain steps you must follow in order to be recognized by the state as an early graduate, especially if you'd like to have any state financial aid available to you. The most important thing to do is apply to our university. Once you've done that we can tell you how the rest needs to be handled. Now, for my own 2 cent! Please think about what you're planning to do. Ask yourself a few questions before you make this decision: Why do I what to graduate early from HS? Why can't I wait 6 months to start college with my fellow classmates do? How will this affect my future? I am not trying to discourage you from starting college early, just make sure you're fully prepared and that you're doing it for the right reasons. If I were you, I'd take my time and enjoy my Senior year in High School. I hope this helps! Feel free to call our office and speak with a counselor if you'd like.
